Dongmei Zhang, Ph.D.

Dongmei joined the de Figueiredo Lab in 2019. During her doctoral work and postdoctoral training with Dr. George Barisas at Colorado State University, she focused on laser optical technique development for evaluating molecular motions and on the surfaces of living cells. Her primary research interest in the de Figueiredo Lab is to develop a platform that employs phenotypic analysis to rapidly identify and characterize pathogens at single cell resolution.
