The de Figueiredo lab, located at Texas A&M University, has broad interests in microbiology, including the elucidation of host-pathogen interactions, the development of new tools and technologies for interrogating microbial physiology, the development of anticancer vaccines, and the discovery of new antimicrobials. The lab enjoys working in team environments where interdisciplinary approaches are used to tackle hard problems. The de Figueiredo lab provides fertile ground for training highly motivated undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral trainees pursuing research projects that will significantly advance scientific frontiers.
